Group Rules

WARNING: Art theft will NOT be tolerated. If you have evidence of this within this group please let us know.

We prefer you to be a member to submit deviations.

Submissions are currently 3 per week.

This is currently a photography only group.

Please submit all works to the Nature Submissions Here folder, the admin will then sort them into the relevant folders.

Any rude, bullying, offensive or spiteful comments to staff or other users will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

Any deviations put into storage will be removed when found, galleries are to look at pictures after all.

No blurry photographs please.

Nature Submissions Here

This is where you should submit all of your works

Aquatic Life

All animals of the sea, lakes, and rivers.
This can even include the domestic goldfish and other aquarium fish.
BUT for aquarium fish, be sure we do NOT see too much the aquarium, in order for it to be accepted.

Architecture, Humans in Nature

All images that contain small amounts of human or architecture. A hand or a face in the shot, a fence or bench in the background etc. Any image that is focused on a human or manmade item will be declined. This is a nature group

Birds

This means ALL birds, including what is now considered to be domesticated birds i.e caged birds and zoo birds. Birds that are flying in the sky should also be submitted here and not the Skyscapes folder. No submissions will be accepted if the bars are visible infront of the bird, some bars behind if not distracting are fine. Any images that contain human hands etc should be submitted to Architecture, Humans in Nature.

Conceptual, Still Life


NATURE depicted in still life, such as vases of flowers, and other artistic arrangements of nature, fruits, nuts, shells etc. This folder also includes feathers and spiderwebs without the spider present and images that tell a story.

Domestic Mammals

All pets that are mammals; this includes farmyard animals such as cows, pigs and horses. There should be no human visible, this includes hands, faces etc. These submissions should be posted to Architecture, Humans in Nature.

Flowers, Plants, Fungi

All images of flowers, plants and fungi that are not considered macro. Trees are included in this category as long as they are not obviously part of a landscape. No images containing humans or part of humans will be accepted into this folder. Please submit these to Architecture, Humans in Nature.

Invertebrates

“Animals without backbones.” This includes 97% of all animals species.
Spiders, worms, butterflies, snails, and slugs along with other insects would be accepted into this folder. Any human hands or bodies will need to be submitted to Architecture, Humans in Nature.

Landscapes

Images of land formations that do not contain humans or architecture should be submitted here, this includes images of mountains, prairies, deserts etc. Any images containing bodies of water should be submitted to Waterscapes and images of the sky to Skyscapes and weather.

Macro, Closeups

Images of close up flowers that show minute detail, closeup images of leaves with water droplets are some such images to post to this folder. No human interaction to be submitted here.

Reptiles and Amphibians

Frogs, Toads, Newts, Salamanders, Snakes, Lizards and crocodiles are all animals that will be accepted into this folder. Turtles will be accepted into the Aquatic life folder. No human interaction in this folder please.


Skyscapes and Weather

Images that depict the sky or mostly sky with a small amount of land will be accepted into this folder. This also includes images of storms and other natural phenomenon. No humans please.

Waterscapes

This folder is for images containing bodies of water such as rivers, seas and lakes. No Skyscapes or Landscapes in this folder please. No humans.

Wild Mammals

All wild mammals such as big cats, foxes etc. This will include mammals found in zoos that are not considered domestic. No visible bars infront of the mammals, bars can be behind if not overally distracting. No humans please.
